D. A. Coffey Of Lenoir Dies At 55

Lenoir, Jan 21 - D. Archie Coffey, prominent Lenoir businessman and member of Lenoir City Council, died at noon today in a local hospital. He had been ill since Jan. 11.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday at the residence in Lenoir with interment in Bellview Cemetery here. The Rev. Archie McKee, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of which Coffey was a member, and Dr. A. A. McLean, pastor emeritus of the church, will officiate.

Coffey was vice president of Kent-Coffey Manufacturing Company, furniture manufacturers, and secretary of Union Mirror Company. His brother, Harold F. Coffey, is president of both companies, which were founded by their father and others in the early 1900s.

Daniel Archie Coffey and Carolyn "Carrie" Tuttle were married on 27 August 1934 in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC.³²³⁵⁸ Carolyn "Carrie" Tuttle, daughter of Robert Columbus Tuttle and Mary Caroline Kirby, was born on 19 June 1906 in North Carolina. Carolyn died at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 15 December 1984 of cardiac arrest and was buried at Bellview Cemetery in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 18 December 1984 .^32359,32360
