Surviving are his wife, the former Nelia Keller; two daughters, Mrs. Hoyle Whitesides of Gastonia and Mrs. Sue Coffey Hall of Whiteville; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Arthur Bolick, Mrs. Earl Hayes and Claude Coffey, all of Granite Falls; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Philadelphia Lutheran Church by the Revs. Jacob Young and Wilford Lyerly. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.
