3872. Ephriam Pennington Vardaman was born on 9 January 1837 in Kentucky. He lived with his father in Lincoln Co., KY on 7 August 1850. He lived with the Wm Portman family in Mantua, Collin Co., TX on 23 July 1860. Ephriam died on 6 March 1901 at the age of 64 in Collin Co., TX and was buried at Lair Cemetery in Anna, Collin Co., TX.¹²⁶⁵⁶

Ephriam Pennington Vardaman and Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Riffe were married on 24 March 1868 in Collin Co., TX.¹²⁶⁵⁷ Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Riffe, daughter of Christopher Riffe and Margaret Coulter, was born on 20 March 1850 in Casey Co., KY. She lived with her parents in Casey Co., KY on 21 August 1850. Betsy died of myocarditis on 1 June 1940 at the age of 90 at home in Collin Co., TX and was buried at Lair Cemetery in Anna, Collin Co., TX.^{12658,12659,12660}
