He was discharged on 30 September 1918 in North Carolina Harold enlisted in US Army and was discharged 17 December 1945 in North Carolina. Harold served in both WW1 and WWII, and attained the rank of Major. Harold died in Caldwell Co., NC on 13 September 1959 and was buried at Bellview Cemetery in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC in September 1959 .¹⁸⁸⁶³
