Margaret died in North Carolina in 1897 and was buried at Tyre Webb Cemetery in Grandfather, Avery Co., NC in 1897 .2237 Margaret "Peggy" Coffey and James Tyree "Tyree" Webb were married circa 1826. They appeared in the census on 28 September 1850 in Watauga Co., NC.2238 They2238 lived with Benjamin and Milly Calloway in Mountain Home, Watauga Co., NC on 25 July 1860.2239 Peggy and Tyree2239 appeared in the census on 1 June 1880 in Linville, Mitchell Co., NC.2240 According to notes from The Toe River Valley Heritage, Tyre [sic] and Margaret Webb owned and operated a grist mill a few miles south of Linville, NC for more than 60 years. The date on the chimney of the log house that Tyre built was 1832. This same source reveals that "Tyre does not appear in the 1870 Mitchell county census due to a misunderstanding over county boundaries. The entire section that had been "Mt. Home, Watauga," was omitted." James Tyree "Tyree" Webb2241, son of James Crittenden Webb and Jane Hight, was born in 1804 in Burke Co., NC. James died in Mitchell Co., NC in 1896 and was buried at Tyre Webb Cemetery in Grandfather, Avery Co., NC in 1896 .2242 Tyrey [sic] came from England. His mother married into royalty. Given money from his father's estate Tyrey used his to come to America and filed land grants in NC. At one time he owned a large section that is now Avery County. The whole town of Linville, part of Grandfather Mt an part of Grandmother Mt. and land on Anthony Creek which we all know belong to his wife Margaret Coffey. That came from her mother and father Joseph and Isbella Lindsey Coffey when they both died. The home place of Margaret and Tyrey Webb is near the town of Linville, NC on what was known as a boys camp, called Camp Yonahnoka owned by CV Tompkins. the graves of Margaret and Tyrey are on this property The chimney that Tyrey built is still in the home that C.V. built and the place is close to Pineola and now not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
