2019. William Thomas Gragg was born in March 1860 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC. He lived with his daughter-in-law, Betty Gragg. in Watauga Twp., Watauga Co., NC on 2 April 1930.

Although Betty indicated on the census that she was married, there was not a husband in the household. Betty Phillips was the wife of James Horace Gragg. William died cardiac dropsy on 19 March 1943 at the age of 83 at home in Patterson, Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Gragg Cemetery in Globe, Caldwell Co., NC on 21 March 1943.⁷⁷⁹⁶

She lived with her parents in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 12 June 1880. Mary died in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 19 October 1927 cancer of the stomach and was buried at Julius Gragg Cemetery in Globe, Caldwell Co., NC on 20 October 1927 .^7804,7805
