Godsey, was born circa 1851 in North Carolina. She lived with her parents in Rockingham Co., NC on 10 July 1860. She lived with her mother in Huntsville Twp., Rockingham Co., NC on 4 October 1870. Mary appeared in the census on 12 June 1900 in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC.⁷⁸¹² Mary died on 27 January 1931 at the age of 80 in North Carolina and was buried at New Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Gragg, Avery Co., NC.
