Worked for a while at “Gillett Rubber Works” building inner tubes and tires before the war. During the war he was stationed in NY City (Hospital duty?). After war worked at rubber works for a while befopre taking job with “Overley Manufacturing” building metal doors and frames. One of the company’s projects was the Houston Astrodome. He was president of the union and worked there for 42 years.
