August Tripke (my great grandfather), born 1 March 1867 at Joanka, died 20 June 1938 at Joanka. 1st Marriage 19 February 1895 at Sobieseki (Lutheran Church) to Mathilde Polinski (my great grandmother), born 22 June 1869 at Feliksow, Kreis Sieradz and died 20 December 1905 at Joanka.
August was a farmer and in his youth he was a blacksmith in the large Polish town of Lodz where he found the 1st wife.
August and Mathilde had 4 children:
After the death of my great grandmother Mathilde nee Polinski the widower August Tripke married again. 2nd Marriage 18 February 1906 at Sobieseki (Lutheran church) to Bertha Lehmann. She was born 25 July 1885 at Sobieseki, died 5 December 1975 at Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. She was daughter of August Lehmann and Pauline nee Koser.
