Coffey, 68 of Poland, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 23, 1940 in Monticello, KY. to Jesse Romer and Lola (Barnett) Coffey. He was a job setter at General Motors Allison's Transmission in Indianapolis, retiring in 1991. Survivors include wife, Brenda Coffey; five daughters, Deborah McIntosh of Indianapolis, Robin Duncan of Coatesville, Ellen Ferrell of Rochester, Christina Seeley of Speedway, and Shannon Keyt of Greencastle; a brother, David Coffey of Monticello, Ky.; and two sisters Thelma Flynn of Indianapolis and Suzanne Piercy of Monticello. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kelly Coffey, a sister Emogene Eads and four brothers, Hershchel Coffey, Clifford Coffey, Troy Coffey, and Elmo Coffey. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow at Garrard Chapel Cemetery in Owen County.
