Vada Lair Barnett. July 15, 1912 - August 30, 1996 Vada Lair Barnett, age 84,of the Elk Ridge Community, passed away Friday, August 30, 1996, in Lexington, KY. She was born July 15, 1912, the Daughter of Joe Francis and Litha Coffey Lair. Both Parents preceded her in death. On April 24, 1931, she Married Olen Lawrence Barnett, who preceded her in death. To this union 4 Children survive: Nancy Lou Barnett Woodward, of Indianapolis, IN, Lois Ann Barnett Tucker, Donald Barnett and Kenneth Barnett, all of Monticello, KY. She is also survived by 1 Sister: Carroe Lair Dodson, of Monticello, KY; 19 Grandchildren; and 14 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 3 Sons: Rudolph, Randall and Ivan Barnett; 5 Brothers: Claude, Grover, Ira, Arnold and Hayden Lair. She was a Member of the Elk Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral Services were held on Monday, September 2, 1996 in the Chapel of the Hoyt G. Hickey and Son Funeral Home, with Brothers J.S. New and Dewey Burks officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Hoyt G. Hickey & Son Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
