She was owner and operator W. W. Collins Store on Highway 221 between Blowing Rock and Linville. She was a native of Caldwell County and had lived in Watauga County for 60 years. Surviving are two sons, E. Spencer Collins of Asheboro and William S. Collins of Boone; two daughters, Miss Sallie Estes of the home and Mrs. Howard Foster of Morganton; a sister, Mrs. Viola Young of Blowing Rock; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Advent Christian Church at Boone's Fork. Burial will be in Boone's [sic] Fork Cemetery.
