Mr. Charlie Edward Coffey, 88, retired carpenter, died May 18, 1989, at Blowing Rock Hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Boone Fork Baptist Church. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Hampton Funeral Home, Boone.

Survivors are his wife, Georgia; sister, Mrs. Zadia Bolick.

Georgia C. Coffey, 99, of Blowing Rock, N.C. died Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at Blowing Rock Hospital Extended Care.

She was born February 14, 1904, in Watauga County, to the late Calvin and Lou Curtis Coffey. She was a homemaker and a self-employed seamstress, and was a member of Middle Fork Baptist Church.

Her husband, Charlie Edward Coffey, six sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors include three nieces, Beulah Slagle and husband, Clarence, of Marion, Sybil Davis of Greenville, Tenn., and Eula Clark of High Point, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Hildred Coffey of Blowing Rock, N.C.; a dear friend, Susan King of Boone, N.C.; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 15,2003, at 11 a.m. at Middle Fork Baptist Church in Blowing Rock, N.C. officiated by the Rev. Elliott Hayes and the Rev. Dean Coffey. Burial will follow in the Boone Fork Community Cemetery.
