William Jasper Hartley and Jadie A. Gragg were married on 11 March 1897 in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC.¹⁸⁹¹⁵ Jadie A. Gragg, daughter of James Gragg and Jane Franklin, was born on 11 March 1878 in North Carolina. Jadie died of phlebitis on 2 May 1926 at the age of 48 in Statesville, Iredell Co., NC and was buried at Cool Springs Cemetery in Boone, Watauga Co., NC in May 1926.¹⁸⁹¹⁶
