She was born Oct. 7, 1944, in Watauga County to Missouri Coffey of Collettsville and the late Arvil Hatley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bristol. Mrs. Bristol was a retired furniture supervisor and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include two sons, Ira Eugene Bristol and Jerry Leroy Bristol, both of Lenoir; one daughter, Cathy Ann Parsons of Lenoir; two brothers, Howard Hatley of Morganton and E. Jay Hatley of Lenoir; four sisters, Ruth Rich of Boone, Bonnie Rich, Connie Hoyle and Mable Bristol, all of Lenoir; and seven grandchildren. The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Waitsel Beard officiating. Burial will be in the Bristol Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Gladys Hatley and Roy Jefferson Bristol were married. Roy Jefferson Bristol was born on 28 February 1938 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC.46054 Roy died in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC on 1 November 1970.46055 |
