DENTON | Rebecca "Becky" Hodges Parsons, 56, of Ward Road, Lexington died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Fritts.

Mrs. Parsons was born Oct. 31, 1951, in Avery County to the Rev. Howard Thomas Hodges and Norma Coffey Hodges. She was a graduate of Davis Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as an addiction professional nurse from the Path of Hope. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Annalea Parsons.

Mrs. Parsons is survived by her husband, Lloyd Parsons of the home; a son, Matthew Parsons of Fletcher, Mo.; a daughter, Amanda Dawn Parsons of the home; a sister, Susan Hodges Bullard of Fort Mill, S.C.; four grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund in c/o Larry Jarvis, Treasurer, P.O. Box 1048, Linwood NC, 27299.
