[John Stuart] Coffey, Passed away Nov. 8, 1970. John Stuart Coffey, age 67, formerly of Partlow, Va., He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edith C. Foley of Falls Church, Va., Mrs. Marie C. Ryals of Richmond, Mrs. Ann C. Brooks of Gloucester; two sons, Wayne D. Coffey of Beaverdam, Conway S. Coffey of Fredericksburg, Va., eight grandchildren, one great grandchild. Remains are resting at LeFevre Funeral Home, Beaverdam, Va where services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. Interment Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Beaverdam.

John Stuart Coffey and Ruth Edith Nichols were married on 28 June 1922 in Fredericksburg, VA.³⁵⁶⁰⁶ They³⁵⁶⁰⁶ appeared in the census on 11 April 1930 on Chilesburg-Cedar Fork Road in Madison, Caroline Co., VA.³⁵⁶⁰⁷ They³⁵⁶⁰⁷ appeared in the census on 8 April 1940 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., VA.³⁵⁶⁰⁸ Ruth Edith Nichols, daughter of George Washington Nichols and Ida Cook, was born circa 1901 in North Carolina. Ruth died in Partlow, Spotsylvania Co., VA on 13 August 1968 and was buried at Beaverdam Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., VA on 16 August 1968 .^35609,35610

Passed away August 13, 1968, Mrs. Ruth Nichols Coffey, age 67, of Partlow, Va.

She is survived by her husband,John Stuart Coffey; two sons, Conway S. Coffey of Fredericksburg, Va., Wayne D.Coffey of Beaverdam, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Anne C. Brooks of Gloucester,Va., Mrs. Marie C. Ryals of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Edith C. Foley of Falls Church,Va.; eight grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Enloe N. Nichols, and Mrs. Daisy N. Current of Beaverdam, Mrs. Martha N. Butler of Richmond, Mrs. Maude N.Hamlet of Shady Springs, W. Va.; five brothers, Ralph and J. Dan Nichols of Beaverdam; Wesley P. Nichols of Eau Gallie, Fla., U. G. Nichols of Beckley, W.Va., and P. Grant Nichols of Phoenix, Arizona. 

Remains resting at the Flynn and LeFebre Funeral Home, Beaverdam, Va.until Friday noon August 16 then will be in state at the Beaverdam Advent Christian Church were services will be held at 2 P.M.  Interment church cemetery.
