Jack Steve Turner, 81 of Hickory, NC and formally of Lenoir, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

Mr. Turner was born in Caldwell County on February 24, 1929 to the late Grover and Dolly Coffey Huffman Turner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ruth Rash Turner and one son, Jerry Steve Turner.

He was a member of Rock Chapel Church of God in Granite Falls, NC and owned Turner Waterproofing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Delma Marshall Stinson Turner, one son Samuel Turner and wife Kathy of Hudson, NC; one daughter, Lou Ann Burns and husband, Earl Hoover of Lenoir, NC, one stepson, Jeff Stinson and wife Lisa of Hickory, NC; one step daughter, Debbie Helton and husband, Paul of Hickory, NC, Maria Scronce and husband, Steve of Granite Falls, NC; two brothers, Jimmy Turner of Rutherford College, NC, Grover Junior Turner and wife, Shelba of Lenoir, NC; four sisters, Vivian Biddix and husband Harold of Las Vegas, Nevada, Veneta Honeycutt and husband, Tony of Burnsville, NC, Virginia Lindner and husband Arnold of Waynesboro, Va., and Verda Ramsey and husband, Max of Conover, NC; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held for Mr. Turner, Friday, February 4, 2011 at Pendry's Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Nathan Leasure, Reverend Ron Leasure and Reverend Dan Turner, grandson, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at Pendry's Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Steele, Mark Wilson, Doug Gilbert, John Helton, Jeff Stinson, and Steve Scronce.
