She was also preceded in death by two brothers, and four sisters. She was retired from Broyhill Furniture and was of Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, Wayne J. Church of Taylorsville; three daughters, Brenda Suddreth, Suzanne Honeycutt and Pam Jennings, all of Lenoir; one brother, Herman Coffey of Lenoir; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Carl registered for the WW2 draft on 22 April 1944 in Watauga Co., NC.30757 Carl died at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 7 August 2002 and was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausolem in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 11 August 2002 .30758,30759 Mr. Carl Jackson Church, 76, of Connelly Springs Road, Lenoir, a native and former resident of Watauga County, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. He was born April 18, 1926, in the Stony Fork community, to the late Jack and Dollie Smith Church. Mr. Church retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries and was a member of Stony Fork Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Cowboy Action Club "Gunpowder Creek Regulators." Survivors include his wife, Goldie Sanders Church; one son, Wayne Jackson Church of Taylorsville; and three daughters, Ms. Brenda Suddreth, Miss Suzanne Honeycutt and Mrs. Pam Jennings and husband, Tom, all of Lenoir; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Jordan and Mrs. Hollie Greene, both of Deep Gap and Mrs. Helen Bare of West Jefferson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home in Lenoir, with the Rev. Vernon Eller officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
