4852. Wallace Eugene Coffey was born on 23 April 1885 in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC. Wallace lived and was a soldier in the US Army in Fort D. A. Russell, Laramie Co., WY on 4 June 1910.¹⁵³⁸⁹ Wallace was employed in the Panama Canal Service as a temporary policeman in Panama, Central America from 14 February 1917 to 13 March 1917.¹⁵³⁹⁰ Wallace died of heart disease on 27 June 1961 at the age of 76 at home in Ferguson, Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Family cemetery in Ferguson, Caldwell Co., NC on 29 June 1961 .¹⁵³⁹¹

Although Wallace apparently served in some branch of the military during WW1, no records have been located.

Wallace Eugene Coffey and Martha Caroline Woodruff were married on 16 August 1920 in Watauga Co., NC.^{15302,15392,15393} They^{^{15302,15392,15393}} appeared in the census on 2 April 1930 in Yadkin Valley Twp., Caldwell Co., NC.¹⁵³⁹⁴ They^{¹⁵³⁹⁴} appeared in the census on 9 April 1940 in Yadkin Valley Twp., Caldwell Co., NC.¹⁵³⁹⁵ Martha Caroline Woodruff, daughter of Joshua Woodruff and Mary Jane Hollar, was born on 3 November 1897 in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC. Martha died in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 25 March 1979.¹⁵³⁹⁶
