SHERANDO-Richard L. Stinnett, of 118 Back Creek Lane, died Wednesday (March 8, 2006). He was born Feb. 26, 1941, at Sherando, to Jack H. and Georgia (Tyree) Stinnett. He was a self-employed mechanic, and he retired from Nibco, Stuarts Draft.

Mr. Stinnet was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger E. Stinnett. Survivors include his wife, Edith (Fitzgerald) Stinnett; two daughters, Carolyn Snell and Deborah Hevener of Stuarts Draft; a son, Anthony W. Stinnett of Sherando; two brothers, Jack H. Stinnett Jr. and Carl W. Stinnett Sr. of Stuarts Draft; and two sisters, Shirley S. Groah of Lyndhurst and Frances C. Terrell of Waynesboro.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sherando United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reynolds Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
