Leonard died at Kingston Nursing Center in Conway, Horry Co., SC on 30 March 2017 and was buried at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 5 April 2017 .⁴⁴²⁸⁴

Leonard Floyd Coffey, 91, of Tallahassee and Palm Bay, Florida, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Kingston Nursing Center in Conway, S.C. He was born July 19, 1925, in Caldwell County to the late Floyd J. and Arizona Selena Bradshaw Coffey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brownie Rimes [sic] [Rines] Coffey, and one brother, Paul W. Coffey.

Mr. Coffey proudly served his Nation in the U.S. Navy and retired after 22-plus years of service. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Club in Tallahassee, Florida.

Survivors include two stepsons, Willis P. Tipton of Vancouver, Washington, and Ewing C. Tipton of Fort Worth, Texas, several nieces, nephews, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will full Military Honors will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Robert Livingston.

The family will receive friends at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. one hour prior to the graveside service.

Leonard Floyd Coffey and Brownie Rines were married. Brownie Rines was born circa 1926. Brownie died on 5 July 2013 and was buried at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 10 July 2013 .⁴⁴²⁸⁵
