W. Stratton: Buena Vista, Oct. 21: Mrs. A. W. Stratton suffered a stroke of paralysis early Saturday morning and passed away Saturday evening. She was buried at Green Hill Cemetery Monday afternoon. The funeral held at her home here, was conducted by her pastor, the Rev. J. H. Haley of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Stratton was born in 1866 in Amherst County, the daughter of C. E. Coffey. Her husband and six children survive. The children are: John, of Hickory, NC; Hallie, wife of L. E. Dawson, who resided in Salem, Va.; Charlie of Baltimore; Louise, wife of W. E. Kite of Elkton, Va.; Tom of Buena Vista and Francis, who is now is California.
