SALE Hiram Lewis

Hiram Lewis Sale, 83, of Glasgow, died on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Benjamin Borden Center in Lexington.

He was born on June 12, 1929, in Roanoke, Va., a son of the late Emmett Sale and Essie Coffey Sale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Conner Sale.

Surviving are his daughter, Wanda Sorrells and husband, Sam, of Lexington; three sisters, Helen Leckey, of Lynchburg, Evelyn Carter, of Buena Vista, and Jenny Sale, of Lynchburg; one sister-in- law, Pauline Wilmore; and two grandchildren, Steven Wright and Elizabeth Wright.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. William M. Thomas officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Glasgow First Aid Crew.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Salem VA Hospital and the Benjamin Borden Center in Lexington.

Hiram Lewis Sale and Louise Connor were married. Louise Connor was born on 14 February 1932 in Virginia. Louise died in Virginia on 20 December 2009 and was buried at Lexington, Rockbridge Co., VA in December 2009.^42807,42808
