James N. Lamb

Brother James N. Lamb, son of G. W. and Sarah Lamb, was born March 15, 1894, died Oct. 21, 1927. He professed faith in Christ in 1920 and joined the Baptist church at Dry Valley, later moved his membership to Oak Hill, March 28, 1926 and has lived a faithful Christian since he joined the church. In September 1922 he was united in marriage to Miss Berdie [sic] Wright, to this union was born one child. The mother died Nov. 26, 1924. Later he was married to Miss Myrtle Coffey Dec. 7, 1926 to this union no children were born. He was one of the most living and faithful husband and father. He had many true friends and his doors were always open to the ministers and all good people, he often spoke of wanting to do more for the good cause; he attended a revival two weeks at his home church, it closing on Sunday before he died. Friday he said, that had been the plainest preaching he ever heard and his most pleasure was hearing good preachers talk. He is greatly missed by his heart broken wife but sleep on dear Jim.
