She was the daughter of Jerome Collier McCarley and Hattie Georgia Coffee. She was born Feb 7, 1921 in Manzanola, CO. She became a registered nurse during WWII and worked in the profession until she was hospitalized in 1984. She donated her remains to Texas Tech in Lubbock to help training future doctors.
