Obituary, Mackie-Whisenant Funeral Home Obituary Darroll Coffey, age 80, of Granite Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Carolina Caring, Newton. He was born July 22, 1939, son of the late Charlie and Ida Barnette Coffey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Dolly Dimple Coffey; three sons, Thomas Coffey (Donna Beck) of Hudson, Jerry Coffey of Granite Falls and Darrell (Helen) Coffey of Granite Falls; five sisters and six brothers; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
