ROSELAND-Mrs. Rose Ella Fitzgerald, 84, a resident of the Beech Grove Community, died early yesterday at a Lynchburg nursing home. She was the widow of N. D. Fitzgerald and a member of Beech Grove Christian Church.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was a daughter of the late Floyd Coffey and Mary Weaver Coffey. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Effie Hicks, Boomer W. Va.; four sons, Hoy Fitzgerald and Tucker F. Fitzgerald, Lynchburg; Raymond F. Fitzgerald, Roseland, and Tommy W. Fitzgerald, Roseland. Also surviving is one stepdaughter, Mrs. Cora Taylor, Covesville; four sisters, Mrs. Stewart Gregory, Waynesboro; Mrs. Mint Campbell, Stuarts Draft; Mrs. Martha Arnold and Mrs. Etta Everitt, Love; one brother, Zandy Coffey, Love; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow from Beech Grove Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. J. D. Farries and the Rev. J. T. Watson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will assemble at her late home at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow. Active pallbearers will be Dewey Fitzgerald, Owen Fitzgerald, Shelby Fitzgerald, Lowney Fitzgerald, Clyde Fitzgerald, William Fitzgerald and Cliney Fitzgerald.

There is a Rose Ella Coffey buried at the Beech Grove Cemetery, Nelson Co., VA. This cemetery is located on Cub Creek Road, (Rt. 860) just off Rt. 664. Her headstone reads "Wife of N.D. Fitzgerald" and gives birthdate of Feb. 16, 1877, and death date as Feb. 17, 1960.

Could she have been another wife of N. D. Fitzgerald who married M. Elizabeth Coffey? Rose Ella and M. Elizabeth were first cousins.

10131	ii.	McKinley D. "Mack" Taylor was born on 8 May 1899 in Rockfish, Nelson Co., VA. He lived with his parents in Massies Mill, Nelson Co, VA on 26 June 1900. He lived with his mother and step-father in Rockfish Dist., Nelson Co., VA on 28 April 1910. Mack lived with his mother and step-father in Rockfish Dist., Nelson Co., VA on 7 January 1920. Mack died on 6 September 1924 at the age of 25 in Nelson Co., VA and was buried at Currier Family Cemetery in Schuyler, Nelson Co., VA.¹⁴⁷²⁵ Mack, was the son of Rose Ella (Coffey) Taylor, Fitzgerald and was married to Mary Lina Bell Fitzgerald. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Napolean D. Fitzgerald. Mack was shot by his father-in-law Albert James Fitzgerald and was buried next to his brother-in-law, Alexander G. Napoleon died on 18 November 1922 at the age of 75 in Nelson Co., VA and was buried at Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Arrington, Nelson Co., VA.
