Everett Carlton Coffey, age 62, of Salem, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013.

Carlton was a lifelong employee at General Electric, retiring several years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Emily Coffey; wife, Marion "Gail" Coffey; and all his siblings. Left to cherish Carlton's memory is his daughter, Tonya Hall and husband Kevin; son, Christopher "Isaac" Coffey, and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Cedric and Breanna Hall and Dylan Coffey; his best friend and "brother", Wayne Meade and wife Lynne, their sons, Eric and Travis Meade; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. 

The family wishes to thank Dr. Ezekial Jones and the amazing nurses and aides on 6West at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the Valley Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to service. Arrangements by Valley Funeral Service.

A living couple was married in 1973 in Salem City, VA.43361 Living, daughter of James Virgil Meador and Dorothy Marlene Clemmons, was born in 1950 in West Virginia.
