Biography

Beulah Lee Small Coffey, age 88, of Lenoir passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke. She was born February 27, 1927 in Caldwell County to the late Fred Monroe and Nellie Hendrix Small. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Carrol Small, John Small, Fred Small, and A. B. Small; and two sisters, Ruby Hollar and Hazel Annas.

Mrs. Coffey was of the Baptist faith and retired from the furniture industry where she worked for Lenoir Chair Plant #1.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Coffey of the home; two daughters, Sherry Lovins and husband Keith of Lenoir, and Sarah Bumgarner and husband Henry of Granite Falls; one grandchild, Brandon Lovins and wife Casey; three step-grandchildren, Rodney Reese, Jr., Travis Shoemaker and Ashley Shoemaker; one great-grandchild, Ava Lovins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Sam Craven and Chaplain John Robbins. Interment to follow at Pisgah Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Price, Tim Laws, Kevin Shatley, Andy Small, Carl Lovins, Jr., Kenneth Murphy, Jr. and Chad Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Clark and Scott Clark.
