Survivors include his wife, Sarah Verlee Bryant Coffey of the home; five sons, Ray lee Coffey of Granite Falls, James Wilson Coffey, Walter Wayne Coffey, Donald Raymond Coffey and Charles Alex Coffey, all of Lenoir; one brother, Frank Coffey of Lenoir; two sisters, Epsie Greene and Gracie Smith, both of Lenoir; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Pendry's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ted Williams and Tommy James officiating. Burial will be in the Pisgah baptist Church Cemetery. Coffey; a granddaughter; three brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. Coffey was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons, James W. Coffey, W. Wayne Coffey and wife, Beulah, the Rev. D. Raymond Coffey and wife, Iris, and Charles Alex Coffey and wife, Betty, of Lenoir, and Roy L. Coffey and wife, Odena, of Granite Falls; a brother, Clarence E. Bryant, or Lenoir; two sisters, Viola B. Bean of Hickory, and May Opal B. Koone, of Blowing Rock; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today, June 9, 2006, at 5 p.m., in the Pendry's Chapel with the Revs. Ted Williams and Raymond Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
