He was the son of the late Titus "Short" and Lizzie Sneed Coffey, a member and deacon of the Russell Hts. Baptist Church and a former truck driver and farmer. Survivors include: his wife, Louise Curry Coffey of Campbellsville; one daughter, Teresa Pruitt and her husband Roger of Campbellsville; two sons, David Coffey and his wife Edith Coffey of Campbellsville and Mark Coffey and his wife Vonda of Bowling Green; two grandsons, Lee Coffey and Justin Pruitt and one step grandson, Chris Pruitt. The funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. James Lynn and Rev. Ivan Vititoe officiating with burial in the Columbia Cemetery.
