Coffey Joe Linn Coffey, 80, of 472 Holiday Road, died at 2:20 p.m. yesterday at the Good Samaritan Hospital. A native of Danville, he was a son of the late Joe and Margaret Ballard Coffey. He was educated in Stanford and was a member of the Central Christian Church, the Masonic Order and the Shrine. He retired in 1950 as an associate of the Eagle-Picher Co., Cincinnati, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle O'Bannon Coffey, Lexington; a son, Shelby Coffey, Somerset; a brother, Robert H. Coffey, Youngstown, Ohio, and two grandchildren, Army Lt. Thomas Coffey, stationed in Vietnam, and Miss Jolin Coffey, Mannheim, Germany. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Leslie R. Smith and the Rev. John H. Bennett. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
