Mrs. Minnie Ray Everitt, 73, died Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucille Coffey, Route 1, Stuarts Draft.

Born Dec. 18, 1876 in Nelson County. Mrs. Everitt was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Monroe [sic] [Moore] Coffey and the widow of John William Everitt.

She is survived by her daughter, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. 
The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until services which will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church in Love. The Rev. R. T. Harris will officiate assisted by the Rev. E. W. Crist of Lynchburg. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be John, Winfred, Forest, Houston, Wallace, and Fred Coffey.

Funeral services were to be held today at 2 p.m. from Love Christian Church for John William Everitt, 78, who died Wednesday at University of Virginia Hospital where he had been a patient for 23 days.

Born in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Elias and Martha Demastus Everitt. He was born on May 28, 1871 and was a well-known farmer in the Love community, where he had made his home all his life.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Coffey Everitt; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Coffey, Stuarts Draft; a sisters, Mrs. Mary Coffey, Love; four brothers, J. L., H. M., R. T., and C. E., all of Love; two grandchildren, Mrs. Ora Smith and Ira Coffey, both of Stuarts Draft; and four great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be John Coffey, Forest Coffey, Houston Coffey, Wallace Coffey, Fred Coffey, and Elmer Hewitt.
