He was a pioneer resident of the Panhandle, moving to old Mobettie with his parents in 1890 when he was 5 years old. Mr. Coffee had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Coffee and Miss Lillie Lee Long of Mobeetie were married in Amarillo March 10, 1910. Their four children were born at Mobettie. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Long to came to Mobettie, then Fort Elliott, with the troops in 1894. Mr. Long established one of the first stores in Old Mobeetie. Mr. and Mrs. Coffee and family moved to Miami and later to Perryton [1901] where in 1935 he was appointed postmaster. He served until a year ago when ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Coffee is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Henry P. Richardson, Mrs. I. P. Vernon and Miss Mary Margaret Coffee, all of Perryton, and one son, Mansell Reynolds, Jr. in the US Army [sic] [US Marine Corps]; four brothers, Woods Coffee and G. L. Coffee, both of Amarillo, Jim Coffee, Miami, and Henry Coffee, Pampa, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Locke, Big Spring. Funeral services were conducted in Perryton Monday Afternoon. Mansel Reynolds Coffee and Lillian Lee Long were married on 10 March 1910 in Amarillo, Potter Co., TX. They appeared in the census on 9 April 1930 in Ochiltree Co., TX.23454 Lillian Lee Long, daughter of John Long and Mary Richerson, was born on 28 November 1889 in Mobeetie, Wheeler Co., TX. Lillian died of an intestinal obstruction on 25 June 1959 at the age of 69 at Perryton Hospital in Perryton, Ochiltree Co., TX and was buried at Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Ochiltree Co., TX on 27 June 1959.23455,23456,23457 Mansel Reynolds Coffee and Lillian Lee Long had the following children:
