Martha Viena Coffey and Jethro Ransom Harmon were married on 26 November 1921 in Boone Twp., Watauga Co., NC.¹⁵³⁹² They^¹⁵³⁹² appeared in the census on 17 April 1930 in Patterson Twp., Caldwell Co., NC.³⁵⁸³²

This family also lived at Coffeys Gap in Watauga Co., and later moved to the Baileys Camp community, south of Blowing Rock. Their five children were born at Baileys Camp. Ransom is said to have been a carpenter, farmer, and an orchard worker. The family attended Boones Fork church but in 1938 became charter members of the Baileys Camp Baptist Church. Jethro Ransom Harmon was born on 2 February 1898 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC.³⁵⁸³³ He registered for the WWI draft on 12 September 1918 in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC.³⁵⁸³⁴ Jethro died in Hudson, Hudson Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 13 June 1996.³⁵⁸³⁵
