Born April 30, 1952, in Portland, he attended grade school in Orient, the Sam Barlow High School and was currently a student at Mt. Hood Community College. He was active in high school sports and in musical groups in both high school and college. At MHCC, he was a member of the Plus One singers. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Gresham, but was active in the Christian youth of Powell Valley Mission Convent Church. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Coffey of Boring; a brother, Dean of Boring; a sister, Mrs. S. C. (Beverly) Paulson, of Boring; and his grandmother, Mrs. Verna Coffee [sic] of Portland. Funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Carroll Funeral Home, Gresham. Private interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery will follow. |
