Coffey Funeral for Verna May Coffey, 5711 SE 67th Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Carroll Funeral Home with private interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Coffey died Thursday in a local hospital. She was 87. She was born on April 17, 1886 in Indiana. She lived in Independence prior to moving to Portland 40 years ago. Mrs. Coffey is survived by her brother, Oakley Edgell of Harrison, Nev.; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Emma) Williams of Boring, Mrs. Charles (Louella) DePaoli of Sonora, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Mullens of Portland, Mrs. Robert (Katherine) Edgar of Gresham; nine sons, James of Yakina, Clifford of Boring, and Irvin, Marvin, Donald, Darrell, Clinton, Clayton and Willard, all of Portland; 36 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
