Coffey, Mrs. Eunice Gadd, 80, widow of Dewey Coffey, died Sunday at the Garrard Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the White Lick Baptist Church.

Survived by five sons: Thomas, Oscar, Buford and James Coffey, all of Lancaster, Estill Coffey, Lexington, three step-daughters: Mrs. Addie Powell and Mrs. Della Bullins, both of Berea, and Mrs. Beulah Martin, Hamilton, Ohio, one brother: McKinley Gadd, Berea, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ramsey Funeral Home, Lancaster, by Rev. Victor Gehlhausen and Rev. Daniel Lovell. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Crash Kills Woman, 47, In Garrard

Lancaster, Ky. - A Lancaster woman was injured fatally Friday in a one-car accident on Ky. 52 west of here.

The victim was identified as Miss Mary Coffey, 47, of 215 Hamilton Avenue.

She was a passenger in an automobile driven by Miss Stella Mae Mazzella, Lancaster.

Garrard County Sheriff Clifford Hurte said Miss Mazzella was driving east on the highway when her automobile hit a wet spot on the pavement, went out of control and struck an embankment.

Miss Coffey was thrown from the car, Hurte said. She was dead on arrival at the Garrard County Memorial Hospital.

Miss Mazzella was admitted to the hospital where he condition was described as satisfactory.

The accident occurred at 4:45 p.m.

Miss Coffey's body was taken to the Clark-Layton Funeral Home.

Miss Coffey was employed at the Palm Beach factory at Danville and was a member of the Hyattsville Baptist Church.

Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Dewey Coffey, Lancaster; five brothers, Thomas, William Buford, James Edward and Oscar Coffey, Lancaster, and Loid [sic] E. Coffey, Lexington; four half-sisters, Mrs. Wesley Bullins, Rockcastle County; Mrs. Vester Cope and Mrs. Matt Powell, Madison County and Mrs. Beulah Martin, Hamilton, Ohio; a half-brother, Henry Coffey, Hamilton, Ohip, and several nieces and nephews.
