ESTHER COFFEY  Sept. 20, 1915-June 13, 2009

Esther Coffey, age 93, of Centralia, Ill., passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Centralia Manor. She was born September 20, 1915, in Wayne County, Ky., the daughter of Joseph and Roxie (Coffey) McLane.  

She married Robert Coffey on October 10, 1931 in Monticello, Ky.  He preceded her in death on October 7, 1976.  She is survived by three sons-Bryan Coffey (wife-Shirley) of Salem,Ill., Lisle Coffey (wife-Carolyn) of Centralia, Ill.,and Bill Coffey(wife-Beverly) of Naples, Fla.; one brother-Lester McLane of Marion, Ind.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sevengreat-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Coffey; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Mrs. Coffey was a housewife and homemaker; she was a resident of Centralia since 1978 and had lived the previous 38 years in Odin, Ill.  She was a member of the Barr Christian Church.

Private services were held June 17, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, with Tom Webb officiating. Irvin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
