"There is a claim in Arkansas which he believes has been collected by Ann Coffee, sister of the dec'd". Ann Amelia Hackett was born in 1794 in Rhea Co., TN. Ann died in Warren Co., TN in 1839 and was buried at Blue Springs Church Cemetery in Viola, Warren Co., TN in 1839 .^833,834

After her death, the children were sent to live with friends and neighbors. Elizabeth and Ann were raised by Buck White and, Andrew and Alexander by George Madison Smartt.

1005	i.	Patrick Henry Coffee was born on 21 September 1821 in Tennessee.⁸³⁵ Patrick resided with the William B. Smartt family in Warren Co., TN on 20 August 1850. He was the Commanding Officer of Co. D, 16th TN Regiment in April 1861. Patrick died on 27 February 1895 at the age of 73 in McMinnville, Warren Co., TN and was buried at Riverside Cemetery in McMinnville, Warren Co., TN.^835,836

1008	iv.	Ann Amelia Coffee was born circa 1830 in Tennessee. Ann resided in the household with the William White family in Warren Co., TN on 30 September 1850.
1009	v.	Andrew Jackson Coffee was born in Tennessee. Andrew is said to have been taken in by George M. Smartt along with his brother Alexander. However, Andrew cannot be found in Warren Co. in 1850.
1010	vi.	Alexander S. Coffee was born on 10 February 1835 in Tennessee.⁸³⁵ Alexander resided in the household with the George M. Smartt family in Warren Co., GA on 20 December 1850. Alexander died on 24 March 1909 at the age of 74 in McMinnville, Warren Co., TN and was buried at Riverside Cemetery in McMinnville, Warren Co., TN.^835,837
