Elmer Troy Coffey Sr., 84, of Lake City, died Sunday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. He was a resident of Doniphan, Mo. prior to moving to Lake City. He was a member of the Doniphan Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Elmer Coffey Jr. of Portageville, Mo.; three brothers, Edgar Coffey of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Leslie Coffey of Bay and Doyle Coffey of Jonesboro; three sisters, Iren Henry of Niles, Mich., Martha Johnson and Ruby Coffey, both of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro with Terry Joe Kee officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Shane Williams, Dave Pearson, Raymond Haley, Thurman Coffey, Danny Rose and Ed Cherry.

Honorary pallbearers will include Dudley Owens, Bill Waterman, Buddy Powell and Wayne Martin.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

A living couple was married in 1936 in Independence Co., AR.45900 He/she45900 appeared in the census in 1940 at Black Oak Twp. in Craighead Co., AR.45901 Living was born circa 1917 in Arkansas.
