Ellis died in Amarillo, Potter Co., TX on 2 March 2008 and was buried at Miami Cemetery in Miami, Roberts Co., TX on 3 March 2008 .^39657,39658

Ellis E. Buchanan, 102, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 2, 2008. 

Graveside services were held in Miami Cemetery on Monday. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mr. Buchanan was born Feb. 28, 1906, in Waterloo, Iowa. He graduated in 1928 from Iowa State University and worked for 28 years with Southwest Public Service. He retired from SPS in 1971. He married Ada Coffee in 1932 in Liberal, Kan. She preceded him in death. He married Velma Medford in Amarillo in 1992. 

Survivors include his wife; three nephews, Gerry Coffee, Walter Coffee and C.M. Coffee; a niece, Patricia Feenley; and additional loving great-nieces and nephews.
