E. Coffey B. E. Coffey, 74, Bristol, died Wednesday morning at Kings Mountain Nursing Home after a long illness. Mr. Coffey was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and a former employee of Wheel and Car Corporation. He was a member of North Bristol Baptist Church. Coffey, Jr., [sic] Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Josee Sherfey, Blountville, and Mrs. Bertie Standsberry, Elizabethton; two brothers, Charles Coffey, Kingsport, and Ellis Coffey, Boone, N. Coffee Mrs. B.E. Coffee, aged 31, of Three Springs died at the King's Mountain Memorial Hospital yesterday morning at five o'clock of pneumonia. She is survived by eight children, Edith, Ina, Ester, Edna, Lorane, Mary, Jane, and Baylor, Jr.; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Cross; two brothers, J.D. Cross and W.R. Cross; and two sisters, Mrs. Will Thompson and Miss Fannie Cross. Before her marriage she was Miss Sallie Elizabeth Cross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cross of Bristol. Funeral services were conducted this morning at eleven o'clock from the home at Three Springs. Rev. R.L. Peoples was in charge. Interment followed in the Ordway Cemetery. Pall bearers will be D.O. Pettyjohn, Dewey Brooks, William Sauls, Joe Shankle, Dewey Pettyjohn, and Clyde Robins. Flower bearers will be: Mrs. Hurt, Mrs. Walter Hurt, Mrs. W.F.
