LIVESAY, VINA MAE CARPENTER, age 79, of Bean Station, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 at her home after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a member of Barnards Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Nelson Livesay; parents, Hobart and Mattie Carpenter; and brother, Clay Carpenter. Survivors include her sons, Gary and Burley Livesay; daughters and sons-in-law, Cherrie and Steve Ivey and Shirley and Larry Buell, all of Bean Station; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Barbara Carpenter; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew; and a host of many friends and family. A special thanks to Morristown Hamblen Home Health and Hospice and A.L.P.S. Adult Day Services. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 in the chapel of Mayes Mortuary with the Rev. Gary Satterfield and the Rev. Dwight Wolfe officiating. The family will meet 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 in Meadow Branch Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, prior to the services at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to A.L.P.S. Adult Day Services, 600 N.
