Ronald Calvin 'Ronnie' Taylor, 66, of 311 York Avenue, Waynesboro, went to be with his heavenly Father Saturday, July 21, 2012.

He was born June 22, 1946 in Waynesboro, VA, son of Roy F. Taylor and Verna Mae Coffey Taylor.

He was a lifetime member of Basic United Methodist Church, serving as its organist, pianist, and leader of many youth musicals. He was also very active in the church choir.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Leon Taylor; 2 nieces, Carol Lynn Berry and Sharon Kay Taylor; and his sister-in-law, Ruby Kathryn Taylor.

Left to cherish his memories are his brother, Reubin Earl Taylor; his nephew, Tony Taylor; nieces, Debra Barrett, & Joan E. Garnett; great-nephews and nieces, Michael, Kenny, Michelle, Amanda, Shannon, Jessica, Ashley, and Kathryn; and great-great-nephews, Maddox and Gideon; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 P.M. Thursday July 26, 2012, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Friday July 27, 2012, and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at McDow Funeral Home.

A service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 28, 2012 at Basic United Methodist Church by Rev. Don Gibson. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
