He was born on May 28, 1871 and was a well-known farmer in the Love community, where he had made his home all his life. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Coffey Everitt; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Coffey, Stuarts Draft; a sisters, Mrs. Mary Coffey, Love; four brothers, J. L., H. M., R. T., and C. E., all of Love; two grandchildren, Mrs. Ora Smith and Ira Coffey, both of Stuarts Draft; and four great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be John Coffey, Forest Coffey, Houston Coffey, Wallace Coffey, Fred Coffey, and Elmer Hewitt.
