(Coffey) Hitzler YAKIMA - Helen M. Hitzler, 94, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2007. Helen was born in Ritzville, Wa, the eldest of eight children, to Davis and Rose Coffey. She graduated from Sunnyside High School after the family moved to the Outlook area. She met and married George Hitzler, the love of her life. Helen loved to travel and she and George traveled to all forty eight states in a small red pickup. One of her hobbies was collecting things such as spoons, key chains, napkins, cups, pens, and match books. Her love of walking contributed to a long healthy life. Helen kept a sharp mind by reading books, working puzzles, and playing bingo at Sun Tower where she lived for 29 wonderful years. Helen was a loving wife, a great homemaker, a devoted daughter, and a caring sister to her seven brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by two sisters; Gladys (Larry) Sybouts of Goldendale, Barbara Swett of Lynnwood; one brother, Bob (Wanda) Coffey of Cle Elum; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Coffey and Bonnie Coffey both of Yakima; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, two sisters Vera Morgan and Edith Jauhola, two brothers Byron Coffey and Ralph Coffey. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7 at Tahoma Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery. Keith & Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Helen M.
