Named in the suit were Leroy Coffey, Mary Coffee, Martha Coffee & Henry Coffee infants and heirs at law of the said Jas L Coffee Probate began in April 1866 in the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC when Chaney petitioned the Court for dower rights. She was granted those rights in Sept., 1866.1448 James Asbury Coffey and Chainey Gragg were married on 19 October 1858 in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC.1449,1450 They1449,1450 appeared in the census on 19 July 1860 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC.1451 Chainey Gragg, daughter of Enoch Gragg and Rebecca Estes, was born on 6 February 1834 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC. She lived with her son Leonard Gragg in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 4 June 1900. She lived with her daughter-in-law, Marilda Gragg in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 20 April 1910. Chainey lived with her daughter-in-law Marilda Gragg Dyson in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 6 January 1920. Chainey died of influenza on 14 February 1923 at the age of 89 in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Boone Fork Community Cemetery in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC.1452 James Asbury Coffey and Chainey Gragg had the following children:
