I have a letter somewhere that his daughter wrote me many years ago and pictures that she sent me. if I can locate some day I will scan and send to you. I also have a picture of Columbus & wife, and Teddy & wife.
Three brothers: Columbus, Theodore, & I think Russell??? this could have been Dewitt: all came to AR in a covered wagon, C.W. stayed in Pope Co. Teddy went to Texas, the other brother went to Ok. around Paul's Valley and was a Judge. At one time I was told that he did marry but never had children. I have never been able to locate any thing on him.
All of the above sons all graduated from Delonge University in GA. at the time of their graduation all was given a banjo clock for a gift. My parents had C.W's until about 1940 during one of their moves it was lost.
Theodore had one child by the name of Catherine, and she married a James Kincaid. after Teddy died they moved back to Canadian and Catherine taught school at Canadian OK. She was my fathers 7th grade teacher. Catherine use to visit my parents in OK in the 80's, both Catherine & James are now gone but I don't have dates. Catherine & James never had children but the did raise two of James nephews, but I don't know what their names were.
My Uncle Frank Johnson had the Wooden Dough Bowl and music box that C.W. brought with him from Georgia for many years. After Frank passed his house was broken into and all of the vaulables were stolden.
Jack, for some reason I can not scan this note for spelling, so sure hope I didn't make to many boo boos. I guess I could be having some pc problems also.
